President William Henry Harrison 1841

Old Antique Historical Political Document. President William Henry Harrison 1841 Land Grant. Whereas Harvey Durkee of Racine County, Wisconsin Territory has deposited in the General Land Office of the United States, a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Milwaukee whereby it appears full payment has been made by the said Harvey Durkee according to the provisions of the act of Congress the 24th of April 1820 entitled, An Act making further provision for the sale of the Public Lands for the East half of the South East quarter of section thirty in Township four North of Range eighteen East in the District of Lands subject to sale at Milwaukee Wisconsin containing eighty acres. In Testimony Whereof, I, William Henry Harrison, President of The United States of America have caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the General Land Office to be hereunder affixed. Given under my hand, at the City of Washington, the twenty fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one and of the Independence of the United States the sixty fifth. Considering President Harrison only held office for a short time, these land grants can be considered very hard to find.
