The Modern California pattern was discontinued in 1946. It came in beautiful pastel colors. This round chop plate is 12 inches in diameter. The backstamp reads: Modern California, Authentic Vernonware, Vernon Kilns, Calif, Made in USA.
Vernonware was taken over by Metlox after the Vernon Kilns closed.
